Picsie Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Picsie is an iPhone app made by Karawya LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Picsie. We wrote it to be short and plain.

The short version
- Free filters and edits never leave your phone. No account, no upload.
- AI photos: only when you tap Create and agree, your photo is sent to our server and to Google’s Gemini service to make the new photo. The result is sent straight back to your phone. We don’t keep your photo or the result on our servers.
- No account, no name, no email unless you choose to email us.
- No ads, no tracking across apps, no selling or sharing of your data for advertising.
- Picsie is for people aged 13 and over in the United States and 16 and over in the UK and the EU, or older where local law requires.
What we handle, and why
1. Your photos
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Free filters, Adjust, Beautify, your Gallery | Everything is processed and stored on your phone only. We never receive these photos. |
| AI Effects and Templates | After you confirm “Create with AI?”, the photo you chose is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which passes it to Google Gemini with the style instructions. The finished photo is returned to your phone. Our server does not store your photo or the result; they exist only in memory while the photo is being made. |
If your connection drops after a photo is made, we cannot resend it, because we don’t keep a copy.
Google Gemini. Google processes your photo to create the result. We use Google’s paid Gemini API. Under Google’s terms for paid services, Google does not use your photos to improve its products, but it may keep prompts and results for a limited time solely to detect abuse and meet legal requirements. See Google’s Gemini API terms: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms
2. App information on our server
To run credits and AI creation without asking you to sign up, the app creates a random installation ID and secret key on your phone. Our server keeps:
- the installation ID and a scrambled (hashed) copy of its key, and a support ID (a random code like
PXS-…shown in Settings) so we can help you; - your credit balance and history: which style you created, when, which credit was used, refunds;
- your plan and purchase records (the transaction details Apple sends us, never your card or Apple ID);
- the app version you use;
- three anonymous events, each counted once per installation: first open, finishing the introduction, and viewing the plans screen.
We use this only to provide the service, keep credits accurate, prevent abuse, answer support requests and understand, in total, how the app is used.
What we don’t collect: your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, advertising ID, or browsing activity. Our web server keeps no access logs, and we do not store your IP address.
3. Emails to support
If you email support@picsie.app, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and keep it as long as needed to resolve your request. Support emails are kept in our Google mailbox (Gmail), and our replies are sent through Resend.
Who else is involved
We use a small number of service providers, only to run Picsie:
| Provider | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Gemini API, Gmail) | Creating AI photos; our support mailbox | United States and other Google locations |
| Contabo GmbH | Our server | Germany |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Domain names, encrypted backups storage, support email forwarding | United States and worldwide |
| Resend, Inc. | Sending our replies to support emails | United States; mail sent from Ireland (EU) |
| Apple Inc. | App distribution and payments | United States |
We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How long we keep it
- Photos and AI results: not kept on our servers.
- Installation, support ID and credit history: while you use the app, and up to 24 months of inactivity, then deleted, unless the law requires us to keep purchase records longer.
- Server backups: kept for 7 days, then deleted automatically.
- Support emails: as long as needed for your request.
Your choices and rights
- Don’t want AI processing? Use the free filters only. Nothing is uploaded unless you confirm “Create with AI?”.
- Delete your data: email support@picsie.app with your support ID (Settings → Copy support ID). We delete your installation and credit history within 30 days. Deleting the app from your phone removes everything stored on the phone.
- Depending on where you live (for example the UK, the EU, California, Canada or Australia), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or move your information, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email us and we’ll respond within the time the law requires.
Security
Connections to our server are encrypted (HTTPS). The server accepts AI requests only from the app, keeps secrets separate from the code, and is monitored. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to a minimum.
Age and children
Picsie isn’t made for children. To use it you must be at least 13 in the United States, at least 16 in the United Kingdom and the European Union, and older wherever your local law sets a higher age. If you’re under 18, please use Picsie only with a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone below these ages. If we learn that we have, we delete it. If you think a child has used Picsie, email us and we’ll remove the related information.
Please don’t upload photos of other people under 18 unless you’re their parent or guardian, or have that person’s permission.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
